Eight weeks at the wheel making functional pottery.
Isn't this what you've always wanted to do?
Every session starts with the fundamentals, covering wedging, centering, coning, pulling walls, making forms, trimming, firing, glazing, and oohing and aaahing over your finished work. First-time throwers have a real place to begin and returning throwers get a reset before pushing into taller forms, lids, handles, and new shapes.
Every class includes a demo from our awesome teachers, so you can observe and try new skills. The rest of the time is yours at the wheel with your instructor moving between students, helping you troubleshoot and grow as an artist at your own pace.
You'll learn how our studio glazes behave, how they layer, and how to make choices that suit the form you made. You'll also learn to respect the kiln, safe studio operation, and best cleaning practices to keep the space ready for everyone to enjoy.
Includes 25 lbs of clay, glazes, and firing. Please bring your own tool kit.
Open studio access included during community studio hours for the run of the session.
